Elaine Glazer, R.N., has been a nurse for 14 years and a Visiting Nurse since January 2000. She used to spend three to four hours every night doing her paperwork after a full day caring for patients. She now spends 1 to 1½ hours a day completing the same tasks. "People are nurses because they love nursing," Glazer says. "This program allows me to have a life, too. The best part of the pda is that it makes my life a lot easier - once nursing can get rid of paperwork, there is going to be a big change."

Tena Bowdish, RN, the lovely nurse whose picture is on many pages of our website including this one, has always found the excessive paperwork to be the least palatable part of her job. She completes her paperwork at the patient's home and has easily transitioned into using the FreeForms^TM System; System at the end of each visit. Bowdish finds the system so easy to use that she believes it increases accuracy and that she supplies more detail in her comments than she would take the time to write out by hand.

Even nurses like Hazel Lavendar, a 44 year nursing veteran who did not initially support the mobile IT idea and is a member of the beta test team, now agrees that the program is needed to help bring nursing into this century. Although Lavendar is uncomfortable with electronic technology, she is patiently learning the FreeForms^TM System; System and is confident that it will eventually save her time.
