How the FreeForms^TM System Works

To start the day, a community clinician connects his/her personal digital assistant to the home office using a miniature modem connected directly to any phone line. The day's schedule can be reviewed and downloaded along with patient charts.

During each patient visit, clinicians have point-of-service access not only to the Visiting Nurses' documentation forms applications but also to extensive referencing information including POS drug references, diabetic blood sugar result trending, infant growth charts, and infection control information. A recent addition to the system allows in-the-field clinicians to enter any of over 460,000 over-the-counter and prescription drugs and remedies into a realtime database to discover possible incompatabilities.

At the conclusion of each visit, the appropriate forms are filled out and saved using the FreeForms^TM System.

After completing the day's work, the clinician reconnects to the home office, uploads the day's completed electronic forms, and downloads the next day's schedule and charts. No need for after-hours paperwork, and continual access to up-to-date medical and pharmaceutical information!
